Cancellation of industrial tariffs in Switzerland

Switzerland will lift industrial tariffs on January 1st, 2024. Thus, from the new year, import duties will no longer be levied on industrial products. This applies to the goods of Chapters 25-97 of the Customs Tariff, with some exceptions.

Customs tariff numbers will also be reduced and thus simplified.
These measures are intended to simplify imports into Switzerland and strengthen the economy. Consumers will also be relieved by lower costs.

Toll increase in Germany starting on December 1st, 2023

Interfracht informs: On 14.06.2023, the Federal Government of Germany decided to amend the HGV toll. From 01.12.2023, a CO2 surcharge of EUR 200 per tonne of CO2 will be introduced in addition to the existing toll. As a result, trucks are differentiated according to their CO2 emissions, with the aim of promoting the use of trucks with alternative drives. As a result, the truck toll will almost double for conventional trucks, which will ultimately increase prices for consumers as well.

Due to these changes, we will also be making price adjustments in the onward carriages from December onwards. We will inform you of the updated prices as soon as possible.

Import shipment for the German Oceanographic Museum (Deutsches Meeresmuseum)

We can also move big and heavy cargo!
Recently, we organized the import shipment of three large plexiglass panes from Japan for the German Oceanographic Museum (Deutsches Meeresmuseum) in Stralsund. The discs were on their way from Kobe, Japan to Hamburg for about 40 days by seagoing vessel. Afterwards they went by truck to Stralsund, where they are destined for the new marine aquarium.

With a length of 9 meters, a width of 3.4 meters and a weight of 20 tons per pane, this required a great deal of coordination.

A report on the delivery on site was shown on NDR:
